To be truly modern, you have to come to terms with your tradition.

Mohammad Naziri was born in 1948 in Shiraz - the city of roses, poetry, and love. From his early beginnings, he spent his life traveling, into the depths of the mountains of Southern Persia, in search of exotic tribes to find their unique art. An adventurer and artist who was looking for hidden gems. His passion was rooted in the nomadic tribal rugs of the Qashqai tribes.

These rugs were never made for commercial purposes, instead they represent romantic gifts from a wife to her husband, a wedding gift, a gift for a newborn or just the personal desire to beautify one's own surroundings. All these rugs were crafted while traveling through the mountains and are inspired by nature and the artist's dreams.

The last witness of real and honest art, crafted with emotions to evoke emotions. Each rug has traveled thousands of miles to be here. Bringing its own mystery. Slight irregularities and variations in color and size add to uniqueness and authenticity and by no means diminish the value of the rug. They hold the belief that true beauty lies in imperfection.

In the 70-80's Mohammad Naziri traded his rugs to art dealers and collectors across the globe - after his passing away this collection has been dormant for decades. Hidden in his warehouse in Iran and Hamburg. Now his family is continuing the legacy. The curated selection of Mohammad Naziri is the life work of a half century travel into the hidden valleys to find exotic tribes and their unique rug art.

Naziri stands for rugs with a soul and gives access to an exclusive collection curated for individuals dissatisfied with mass-produced commodities, and seek for artwork that they
can identify with.
